Part 2 - Seedless Fruit; think about plants in a new way and learn a little about how commercial fruit is produced
Part 3 - Moss Art; learn about cultivating moss art indoors. what are rhizoids; and how do help moss grow vertically?
Part 4 - Flocked Wallpaper; this 17th century wallpapering technique is used to simulate lichens growing on a wall

Lizard Illustrations and Lizard Taxonomy Explained
July 8th - August 7th, 2010 - LEAPING LIZARDS!
 
Lizards are a member of the class Reptilia. In this exhibit we explore the surprising array of animals that Lizards are related to and how they live.

In the first half of LEAPING LIZARDS!, learn about the different ways lizards are classified. See scientific reptile illustrations by Rachel Diaz-Bastin. Finally take step back to pre-history, with vibrant dinosaur drawings by Brigette Zacharczenko and a baby T-Rex Skull.

Part 2 of LEAPING LIZARDS! showcases the highly detailed, realistic lizard sculptures by polymer clay artist, Sue Little. Her life-like lizards bask in the sun, but why? Find out!

In the first half of MOON & TIDES, learn how you can predict the Tides, using... SCIENCE! Also see 50 million year old Fossil Ammonites and sea shell watercolors by Sandra Carl of Albion, Maine.

Part 2 of MOON & TIDES showcases a variety of beautiful sea shells. But can you name them all? If not, we will help you out with pictures, common names, and SCIENTIFIC NAMES!

Paragenesis is the order in which closely associated minerals have formed in rocks, veins, and deposits. For our Grand Opening we offer a selection of pieces by noted commercial illustrators and photographers that specialize in potraying minerals and wild animals in nature.

Artists in this exhibit are Frederick Wilda, Bruce Graber, Jeff Scovil,
Chris Hughes and Brandy Naugle.
 
Opening Reception Thursday May 13th, during Downtown Los Angeles Artwalk; featuring a special showing of natural crystalized mineral specimens by PuTzu, owner of The Uncarved Block Gallery in Sebastopol, California.
